The Wind Beneath Whisper Creek’s Wings

Whisper Creek is a community of VOLUNTEERS. Every single event and activity on our calendar is organized and run by volunteers. In addition, there are many behind-the scenes volunteers who maintain the library, organize events off-site, stock the kitchen, decorate the hall, deliver Christmas cards, welcome newcomers, raise funds, disseminate the calendar and communications, and handle the daily management of funds, scheduling, and the oversight of a massive organization.

Truth be told, we have many volunteers doing small selfless acts of kindness that often go unnoticed ~ putting something away, cleaning up a mess someone left behind, or intentionally visiting people throughout the park just to put a smile to those unable to get out and about.

SO HERE’S A SHOUTOUT TO EACH AND EVERY WHISPER CREEK VOLUNTEER, PAST AND PRESENT. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO! WHISPER CREEK IS TRULY A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE BECAUSE OF YOU!

Whisper Creek Heroes Stepping Down and Stepping In

The Whisper Creek Community extends immense gratitude to the following departing Activity and Event Leaders who have shared their time, talents and good old fashioned hard work with us. They now deserve their own time to relax & enjoy!

We honor and celebrate the creative minds and spirited individuals committed to making Whisper Creek the exceptionally fun, and happy place to be!

WITH OUR DEEP APPRECIATION

The following are the Retiring and New Chairmen of the Whisper Creek Community Club Central Committee:

ANNA RANDALL has served as the chairman of the Card Committee for the past five seasons, as a
member of the Central Committee and has served as Secretary of the CC for the last three
years. Thank you, Anna. The new chairperson of the card committee for the 2025/26 season is
Larry Tobin.

DAVE SCHMITZ has served for the last five seasons as chairman of the Petanque Committee and
as a member of the Central Committee. Thank you, Dave. The new chairperson for the 2025/26
season is Vickie Leventhal.

LINDA WAGNER has served as the chairman of Bingo and as a member of the Central Committee
for the past five years and co-chair of Bingo for 2 years
pror to that. We thank you Linda. The new chairperson for the 2025/26 season is Candie Miller.

HAROLD NEISS has served the last two seasons as chairman of the Horseshoe
Committee and as a member of the Central Committee. Thank you, Harold. The new
chairperson for the 2025/26 season is Skip Halladay.

DIANE MILLIARD has served as the chairperson of Pickleball and as a member of this central
committee for the past 4 years. We thank Diane. The new chairperson for Pickleball is Steve
Callahan.

Also retiring this year, is JOHN RANDALL who has served the last three years as Treasurer and
served as the auditor for the WCCC two years prior to his becoming Treasurer. The new
Treasurer for the 2025/26 season is Gary Milliard.

We welcome Vic Romback who has agreed to be chairman of the Dance Committee for 2025/26
and thank DAVE RANDANT for serving as chairman of the Dance committee for the previous three
years.

We also welcome LINDA SMITH who has agreed to serve as the chairman of the Breakfast
Committee. Linda is also retiring as chairman of the the Craft Show committee which she
chaired for the past 4 years, and we now welcome Elaine Glidewell who has offered to take her place. We look forward to Saturday morning breakfast again, and thank the volunteers who have signed up to help.
